Can still take the GED test in Canada?
No, you can no longer take the GED test in Canada.
The GED was officially replaced by the Canadian Adult Education Credential (CAEC) in May 2024.
The CAEC is now the only high school equivalency test available in Canada and is accepted by employers, colleges, and government programs across the country.
If you passed any GED subjects before May 3, 2024, you may still be able to use those scores toward earning a CAEC diploma until May 2027.
If you’re preparing for the CAEC, Cansego offers a self-paced online prep program designed to help you get ready for the new exam.
